The Filinvest Group reaffirmed its commitment to developing future-ready talent through the ceremonial signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with Far Eastern University (FEU) on September 17, 2026, at FEU Manila.
The renewed partnership strengthens the collaboration between Filinvest and FEU, creating more opportunities for students to gain meaningful workplace experience and prepare for successful careers across Filinvest industries. Through internship and career development initiatives, the partnership provides students with hands-on exposure to the realities of the professional world while helping bridge the gap between academic learning and industry practice.
In her message, Ms. Sheriben Marie D. Paraguas emphasized the partnership’s long-standing foundation in a shared belief in Filipino talent, recalling Filinvest’s earliest collaboration with FEU when the university established its campus in Filinvest City.
“When FEU Alabang arrived in Filinvest City, we saw more than an institution moving into our community. We saw a partner aligned with something we believe deeply: that Filipino talent, when given real opportunity, transforms organizations and industries.”
Building on this shared belief, she noted that the partnership has since grown beyond Filinvest City and into deeper organizational support for students. Through internships, students have been able to take on real business challenges, work alongside experienced professionals, and discover their capabilities early in their careers. More importantly, the renewal serves as a strategic investment in developing leaders who can help shape industries in the years to come.
“Together, we’re not just renewing a partnership. We’re building the next generation of Filipino leaders,” she said.
Similarly, Mr. Paulo Tatad, Head of Talent Acquisition at Filinvest Development Corporation, emphasized that the partnership reflects the institutions’ closely aligned values.
He noted that FEU’s core virtues of Fortitude, Excellence, and Uprightness closely mirror Filinvest’s values of Entrepreneurial Mindset, Trustworthiness, and Change for the Better.
“Through this partnership, we are creating direct pathways for FEU students to build meaningful careers across FDC’s diverse industries. For Filinvest, it secures a pipeline of principled, agile professionals ready to make an impact.”
He added that by working together, Filinvest and FEU are providing students with opportunities to develop not only the technical competencies needed in the workplace but also the character and values necessary to become responsible leaders.
Representing FEU during the signing ceremony were Ar. Raquel Baquiran, Vice President for Career Development, and Ar. Vanessa Grace Cabiedes, Director of the Career Development and Placement Office, whose leadership continues to strengthen the university’s efforts in preparing students for meaningful careers and lifelong success.
